The main type of yeast that is responsible for yeast infections is Candida albicans which causes Candidiasis and other yeast infections. The main ingredient in Gyne-Lotrimin is Clotrimazole, it is also used in special lozenges apart from being used in creams and tablets. Terazol is perhaps the most specialized prescribed drug that is used as yeast infection medication; the drug is used as a suppository for the vagina and you should remember to disinfect the applicator well after using it. There are certain side effects of Terazol which might or might not occur, they include pain in the genital, abdominal or even the whole body, also headaches and more intense menstrual pain. In such a case, you should immediately consult your doctor while prohibiting the use of the drug until further notice.
